“NO DIG” Pipe Relining refers to the method in which we can repair broken pipes or cracked drains without the need to excavate your garden, lawn, footpath or driveway. Until recently, having a broken drain due to tree roots or ground movement meant that you had to excavate right down to the drain’s depth and replace that section of pipe, some being over 2m deep. Aging pipes can also lead to plumbing problems such as blockages, foul odors, increased water bills, and costly damage. No-dig pipe relining is an innovative technique that provides a modern, non-invasive solution for repairing underground pipes.
The outdated way of repairing a broken drain involved excavating down and replacing the broken section of pipe, which required extensive digging.
New pipe relining technology enables us to install a new pipe lining inside the old broken pipe which will leave you with a permanent seamless drain repair.
Repairing a broken drain can be very messy and cause a huge disturbance to you and others. Traditional repairs often disrupt business operations and the surrounding area, making no-dig relining a preferred choice for both homeowners and businesses. The outdated way of repairing a broken drain is by excavating down and replacing the broken section of pipe with a new one. The new way of repairing a broken drain is by creating a new pipe inside the old pipe.
Recognising when your pipes need attention is essential to avoid costly repairs and health risks down the line. Here are some common warning signs that indicate your pipes may require professional relining services:
Frequent clogs that don’t resolve with standard drain cleaning.
Water takes longer than usual to drain from sinks, showers, or toilets.
Foul smells emanating from drains or toilets, signalling pipe damage or blockages.
Leaks or cracks in pipes can cause water wastage, leading to higher bills.
Cracks, corrosion, or tree root intrusion detected during inspections.
Traditional drain repair often involves invasive excavation, causing significant damage to lawns and gardens. No-dig relining provides a more advanced, non-invasive way to repair the pipe while preserving the surrounding property.
We use CCTV drain camera technology to locate and assess the damage, then high-pressure water jetting to remove blockages, debris and tree roots before the liner is installed.
The relining process is efficient and often takes less than half a day, creating a seamless, permanent repair inside the existing pipe without the disruption of replacing the whole line.
So what kinds of drains can be fixed using pipe relining? No-dig pipe relining is suitable for all types of drains made from the following materials:
This list includes the most common kinds of drainage systems found in Sydney homes. If your drainage system is not mentioned on this list, please call our friendly team to discuss the suitability of no-dig pipe relining for your damaged drain.

At Sydney Blocked Drains, we have built a strong reputation for delivering consistent, high-quality relining work across homes and strata properties. Our approach combines proven methods, advanced UV curing and steady communication, giving clients confidence from the first inspection through to completion.
The epoxy resin is mixed and applied through the liner to achieve full saturation. The liner is then guided into the pipe and inflated to press it firmly into the existing structure, setting the foundation for UV curing.
A controlled UV light system is positioned inside the liner. This method evenly activates the resin along the full length of the repair, allowing faster curing and creating a smooth internal surface.
Once cured, the bladder is removed and the CCTV drain camera is used again to confirm the result. The final product forms a durable, seamless internal pipe that supports long-term performance. The repaired section is typically stronger than the original pipe. The drain is now, in fact, better than its original state as the new pipe liner is much stronger than the original pipe.
Traditional drain repair often involves invasive excavation, causing significant damage to lawns and gardens. Sydney Blocked Drains, however, employs a more advanced, non-invasive technique known as “no dig” pipe relining.
This method involves installing a new lining inside the existing pipe, efficiently repairing the damage without needing to replace the entire pipe. It’s an ideal solution for preserving the beauty of your garden and lawns.
The process begins with our expert team using sophisticated CCTV drain camera technology to accurately locate and assess the damage. This technology allows for a clear view of the problem without excavation. Once any blockages are identified, they’re removed with high-pressure water jets.
The relining process is swift, often taking less than half a day, and results in a seamless, permanent repair of your damaged drain. For efficient and garden-friendly pipe relining services in Sydney, contact Sydney Blocked Drains.

“James is an absolute professional who could not be highly enough recommended. His technical skills and attention to detail ensured that the job was left in a clean and tidy state. His perseverance with a particularly challenging situation resulted in an excellent outcome. In addition the service was prompt and communication was clear and precise,”
“Patrick came and sorted our urgent problem out on a Sunday. He did a great job and literally bailed us out! He is a quality player. Highly recommended!”
“Highly recommend these guys. James & Pat turned up on time to reline my sewerage pipes and did the most fabulous job. Photos before & after. Clean up was excellent and pavers relaid perfectly! The side of my house has never looked so good. The guys themselves were a delight to have at my home.”
“What can we say other than thank you very much, Pat, for your rapid response to our blocked sewer service? Pat even went out of his way to provide a video recording of our pipes and to reconfirm the location of our inspection opening at the rear of our home. All fixed, and now it's back to normal. Thanks, Pat. :) Adam & Jo Walsh”
“Had a problem with mysterious water spilled from sewerage covers under the backyard deck after heavy rain. Rang the guys and they booked me in for inspection. James showed up exactly on time at 12pm to our delight. He inspected the problem, and tracked down the source was from the downpipe deep under the fire tree 40 meters away (which was supposed to be repaired by the other plumber who came twice to fix the job several years ago. Clearly the problem was not fixed back then years ago !) James quickly showed us why the problem was still at large that was supposed to be fixed by the previous plumber. And he walked us through solutions, quoted us the fair price for the solution we chose and scheduled the repair. Again, James showed up on time on the date of repair. Professionally finished the job on time and gave us the warranty of the job. Last night there was a heavy rain. I went out checked the sewerage cover location - it remained dry indicating the problem has been fixed !! What else more we could have expected from Sydney Blocked Drains service? These guys are professionals and they do blocked drains only. They are very quick, fair pricing, delivered the fix with warranty and site was left cleaned and tidy. Perfect experience of using their service. Absolutely top notched. They are now in the top list of the trades we kept in our record for any future engagement.”
“Speedy, friendly and effective service - fixed the issue - highly recommend”
“James is super professional and offered clear alternatives for fixing problem. Our blocked drain was a complicated job and I could not give a higher recommendation to any tradesman. Ray Sth Coogee”
“Very happy with Patrick. Good solution, tidy work, prompt service.”
“I highly recommend Sydney Blocked Drains. Pat and James are professionals through and through. They arrive when they say they do. They pick up their phones. Their communication is second to none. My stormwater system had totally failed. James came and did a thorough investigation of my problems and after discussion gave me a detailed fair quote. They were innovative and it was a pleasure to have them in my home. At the end of each day we discussed what they had done and why and what the plan was for the next day. Everything was left clean and tidy at the end of the day. As we had to use our neighbour's driveway, they communicated directly with them and were very respectful. I agree with our engineer when he said 'they went above and beyond' what was expected. Thank you Sydney Blocked Drains you have restored my faith in tradies again!”
