    CCTV Drain Cameras

CCTV drain inspections give us control and allow us to work accurately in delicate situations.

By inserting a small, flexible camera into the drain, we can see blockages, breaks, roots and other damage without digging up the area.

That clear view helps us diagnose the issue, explain the options and avoid guesswork or unnecessary repair attempts.

What Is A CCTV Drain Inspection?

A small, flexible camera travels through the drainage system and sends high-definition images back to the technician. This shows the location, cause and extent of the problem.

We can use the footage before work to plan jetting, relining or remedial repairs, and again afterwards to confirm the repair has been successful.

How Will A CCTV Drain Camera Benefit Me?

    Accurate problem diagnosis

Locates the exact problem and its extent

    Reduces guesswork and unnecessary digging

    Helps choose a targeted repair

    Provides before-and-after proof

How Will A CCTV Drain Camera Benefit Me?

When Should You Book A CCTV Drain Inspection?

A camera inspection is useful before a repair, but it can also help you find smaller problems before they become major drainage work.

    01

    Recurring symptoms

Book an inspection when blockages, slow drainage or odours keep returning after a standard clear.

    02

    Older properties

Check ageing pipes or properties with established trees as part of proactive maintenance.

    03

    Before or after work

Use CCTV when buying a property or to confirm that a repair has resolved the issue properly.

Why Use A CCTV Camera Before Repairing A Drain?

Without a camera inspection, a blocked drain can be difficult to diagnose from the surface. CCTV technology shows the actual condition of the pipe.

The footage helps us recommend a targeted solution, whether that involves high-pressure jetting, relining or remedial work, instead of relying on trial and error.

Inspections are also useful for older homes, planned maintenance and property purchases where you want a clearer picture of the drainage system.

Advanced CCTV Pipe Inspection Solutions in Sydney

Our CCTV drain inspections use high-resolution cameras to examine the inside of your pipes accurately and identify the cause of complex drainage problems without invasive excavation.

The footage gives our team a clear view of the pipe condition, allowing us to recommend a practical repair or maintenance plan based on what is actually happening inside the system.

    State-of-the-Art Technology for Accurate Diagnosis

Our high-definition CCTV cameras provide real-time visuals of the interior of your drainage system. This helps us locate blockages, cracks, tree roots, damaged sections and other pipe problems precisely.

An accurate inspection reduces guesswork and helps us choose a targeted solution suited to your specific pipework and property.

Benefits of Choosing CCTV Inspection for Your Pipes

A CCTV inspection gives you a clearer understanding of the drainage system before repair work begins and can also confirm that the completed work has resolved the issue.

    • Non-invasive inspection: Investigate the condition of the pipe without unnecessary digging or disruption to your property.
    • Quick identification of issues: Pinpoint the location and nature of blockages, cracks, roots and other pipe problems.
    • Cost-effective planning: Reduce guesswork and avoid repair attempts that do not address the actual cause.
    • Preventative maintenance: Find smaller problems early before they develop into major drainage repairs.
    • Clear inspection reporting: Use the inspection findings to understand the pipe condition and the next recommended step.

Expert CCTV Sewer Inspection for Sydney Homes and Businesses

We provide CCTV sewer inspections for homes, businesses and other properties across Sydney. Our team focuses on precision and clear communication so you can understand the condition of the sewer line and the options available.

Once an issue is identified, we can recommend targeted work such as high-pressure water jetting, pipe relining or remedial drainage repairs while limiting unnecessary excavation.

Detecting and Solving Sewer Line Issues Efficiently

Our cameras provide detailed images of sewer lines, helping us identify blockages, cracks, tree root intrusion and other damage. We use that information to plan the most effective response for the system.

From the initial diagnosis through to the final repair inspection, the process is designed to deliver a clear, efficient and less intrusive solution.

Preventative Maintenance with CCTV Sewer Inspection

CCTV inspections are useful even when a drain is still working. They can identify wear, damage or obstruction early, particularly in older properties or areas with established trees.

Regular inspections can help extend the life of the sewer line and address a small problem before it becomes a major blockage, leak or disruptive repair.

CCTV Stormwater Inspection Services in Sydney

CCTV stormwater inspections help identify blockages, damage and wear in the pipes that protect your property during heavy rain. A detailed inspection can show where water flow is restricted and whether the system needs maintenance or repair.

Our team can tailor the inspection to residential and commercial stormwater systems and explain the next steps clearly once the condition of the infrastructure is known.

Why Sydney Blocked Drains is Your Trusted Partner for CCTV Inspections

We combine modern CCTV equipment with practical drainage experience to provide precise inspections and useful recommendations. Our goal is to make the problem easier to understand and the repair process easier to plan.

We communicate clearly throughout the inspection, provide a careful assessment and can coordinate the next service when the drain needs cleaning, relining or remedial work.

    Ensure Your Property’s Drainage Health

Don’t wait for a minor drainage issue to become a major problem. A CCTV inspection can give you certainty about the condition of the system and help protect your property from avoidable disruption.

CCTV Drain Inspection in Sydney for Repeat Blockages

If you have cleared the same drain more than once, there may be a reason the problem keeps returning. A CCTV drain inspection in Sydney can check for visible root intrusion, damaged pipe sections, displaced joints or remaining material within the inspected line.

Once we know what is happening, we can recommend a repair matched to the pipe condition. If the pipe is structurally suitable and needs clearing, high-pressure water jetting may be recommended. If footage shows damaged pipework suitable for rehabilitation, no-dig pipe relining may provide a longer-term repair without excavating the full pipe run.

Pre-Purchase Drain Camera Inspection in Sydney

Buying a property means taking on its drainage system too. Older homes may have ageing pipes, established trees near drainage lines or repairs completed years earlier. Newer properties can still develop drainage faults.

A pre-purchase drain camera inspection in Sydney gives you extra information about accessible drainage lines before you make a major financial commitment. The footage may help you:

    • Identify visible drainage concerns before settlement
    • Ask better questions about previous plumbing work
    • Budget for repairs that may be needed
    • Discuss identified drainage issues during the purchasing process
    • Keep a visual record of pipe condition at the time of inspection

Read our pre-purchase CCTV drain inspection guide for more information.

CCTV Inspection for Stormwater Drain Problems

Heavy rain can expose drainage problems that stay hidden during dry periods. If stormwater drains are backing up, draining slowly or contributing to localised flooding, a camera inspection can help assess accessible pipework and identify visible restrictions or damage.

A CCTV inspection may be useful:

    • After repeated stormwater blockages
    • Before forecast wet-season conditions
    • After flooding around drainage points
    • When a stormwater line repeatedly drains slowly
    • When pipe condition is uncertain after building or landscaping work

Find Tree Root Intrusion Before It Causes Another Blockage

Tree roots are a common reason property owners experience recurring drainage problems. Roots can enter through vulnerable joints or damaged sections and continue growing within the drainage line. Clearing the immediate blockage may restore flow, while CCTV footage can show whether a pipe defect needs further attention.

Our CCTV drain camera service can inspect accessible pipes for visible root intrusion and pipe damage. If clearing is suitable, we may recommend high-pressure water jetting. If the underlying pipe is damaged and suitable for rehabilitation, we can discuss no-dig pipe relining as a longer-term repair option.

    CCTV Drain Inspection FAQs

What Does a CCTV Drain Camera Inspection Show?

A CCTV camera gives our technician a live view inside accessible drainage pipes. It can reveal visible blockages, root intrusion, damaged sections, joint problems and other conditions affecting the inspected line. The footage helps us explain what we found before recommending repair work.

When Should I Book a CCTV Drain Inspection?

Book an inspection when a blockage keeps returning, the cause is unclear, you suspect tree-root damage, stormwater problems keep occurring or you notice warning signs such as slow drainage, unusual smells or recurring backups. Read our guide to the signs you need a CCTV drain inspection to help decide when a camera assessment may be the right next step.

Can a Drain Camera Find Tree Roots?

Yes. A CCTV camera can show visible root intrusion within the inspected section of drainage pipe. If roots are found, we can assess whether clearing is suitable and whether an underlying pipe defect needs repair.

Do I Receive Photos or Video From the Inspection?

Photos and video evidence can support drainage findings and recommendations where captured. The aim is to give you clear proof of the issue before you approve further repair work.

What Happens if the CCTV Inspection Finds a Blockage?

The next step depends on the condition of the pipe and what is visible on camera. If the pipe is suitable for clearing, high-pressure water jetting may be recommended. If there is structural damage suitable for rehabilitation, no-dig pipe relining may be discussed.

Can You Inspect Stormwater Drains With CCTV?

Accessible stormwater pipes can be inspected with CCTV where site conditions permit. This can be useful when stormwater lines repeatedly back up, drain slowly or cause problems during heavy rain.

Is CCTV Useful Before Buying a House?

Yes. A drain camera inspection in Sydney can provide extra information about accessible drainage pipework before you commit to a property purchase, particularly at older homes or sites with established trees. A pre-purchase CCTV inspection may identify visible pipe damage, root intrusion or recurring drainage concerns that deserve further assessment before settlement.

Fiona Madden 5 out of 5 stars

“I highly recommend Sydney Blocked Drains. Pat and James are professionals through and through. They arrive when they say they do. They pick up their phones. Their communication is second to none. My stormwater system had totally failed. James came and did a thorough investigation of my problems and after discussion gave me a detailed fair quote. They were innovative and it was a pleasure to have them in my home. At the end of each day we discussed what they had done and why and what the plan was for the next day. Everything was left clean and tidy at the end of the day. As we had to use our neighbour's driveway, they communicated directly with them and were very respectful. I agree with our engineer when he said 'they went above and beyond' what was expected. Thank you Sydney Blocked Drains you have restored my faith in tradies again!”

Jill Omar 5 out of 5 stars

“Highly recommend these guys. James & Pat turned up on time to reline my sewerage pipes and did the most fabulous job. Photos before & after. Clean up was excellent and pavers relaid perfectly! The side of my house has never looked so good. The guys themselves were a delight to have at my home.”

Victor Su 5 out of 5 stars

“Had a problem with mysterious water spilled from sewerage covers under the backyard deck after heavy rain. Rang the guys and they booked me in for inspection. James showed up exactly on time at 12pm to our delight. He inspected the problem, and tracked down the source was from the downpipe deep under the fire tree 40 meters away (which was supposed to be repaired by the other plumber who came twice to fix the job several years ago. Clearly the problem was not fixed back then years ago !) James quickly showed us why the problem was still at large that was supposed to be fixed by the previous plumber. And he walked us through solutions, quoted us the fair price for the solution we chose and scheduled the repair. Again, James showed up on time on the date of repair. Professionally finished the job on time and gave us the warranty of the job. Last night there was a heavy rain. I went out checked the sewerage cover location - it remained dry indicating the problem has been fixed !! What else more we could have expected from Sydney Blocked Drains service? These guys are professionals and they do blocked drains only. They are very quick, fair pricing, delivered the fix with warranty and site was left cleaned and tidy. Perfect experience of using their service. Absolutely top notched. They are now in the top list of the trades we kept in our record for any future engagement.”

Joad Sports Supplies 5 out of 5 stars

“What can we say other than thank you very much, Pat, for your rapid response to our blocked sewer service? Pat even went out of his way to provide a video recording of our pipes and to reconfirm the location of our inspection opening at the rear of our home. All fixed, and now it's back to normal. Thanks, Pat. :) Adam & Jo Walsh”

Scott Lockley 5 out of 5 stars

“Patrick came and sorted our urgent problem out on a Sunday. He did a great job and literally bailed us out! He is a quality player. Highly recommended!”
